About Jet Creations’ Product Development History, Design Process, and Technical Background

Recently, we have seen discussions within the community regarding whether Jet Creations uses AI in product design. We would like to take this opportunity to share a brief overview of our history, product development process, and technical background so that everyone can better understand where our products come from.

Featured below are some of the inflatable animal products designed and developed by our team over the years.

🔹 Jet Creations’ Core Focus: Structural Product Design and Development

The founder of Jet Creations has been involved in inflatable product manufacturing since the 1970s. Early products mainly included sealed inflatables and miniature inflatables, which today would generally be considered part of the broader airtight inflatable category.

In the late 1990s, Jet Creations began developing advanced lapped-seam airtight inflatables. At that time, the market was largely divided between cold-air inflatables (which require continuous blower operation) and various forms of sealed inflatables.

After discussions with well-known inflatable industry pioneer Mr. Scherba, the term “Airtight Inflatable” was adopted as a more unified way to describe products that do not require constant airflow and to distinguish them from cold-air inflatables.

Today, terms such as Lapped Seam Inflatable, Sealed Inflatable, and Miniature Inflatable are simply different applications within the broader Airtight Inflatable category.

🔹 The History of Jetsonic and the Community Market

Jetsonic was established in China in 1991 through investment by the founder of Jet Creations. In 2018, the founder fully exited ownership and management of the company.

Beginning around late 1990's, we developed airtight lapped seam inflatable products for companies such as Remax, Subway, and McDonald’s. Later in around 2020, we collaborated with G&G, and few years later with SquealCo, PP, and many community friends on a wide range of custom lapped-seam inflatable projects.

All Jetsonic's techniques and know-how were taught and trained by founder of Jet Creations.

Many long-time community members who have been involved in the inflatable hobby for 15–20 years may already be familiar with this history and the role Jet Creations played in the early development of the community collector inflatable market.

🔹 How New Jet Creations Products Are Designed

JC commissions with professional designers and external contractors.
Consequently, we cannot fully control the specific tools every external designer uses. While we explicitly instruct contractors and designers not to use AI tools, there are times when we cannot control the tools they actually employ. Regrettably, oversights can still occur. We appreciate the reminders and feedback from our community members.

🔹 What the Jet Creations Founder and Team Actually Do

The founder of Jet Creations has decades of experience designing both realistic and cartoon-style animals, as well as water toys, advertising inflatables, promotional products, and custom inflatable structures.

Throughout his career, he has worked on hundreds of new designs every year.

While artwork is important, the true challenge in inflatable product development lies in creating original structures, engineering solutions, production-ready patterns, and manufacturing methods that can be reliably produced at scale.

These are skills that come from decades of hands-on experience, testing, and innovation.

Today, many inflatable designs within the community still utilize construction methods and design concepts that originated from early Jetsonic developments, which were originally trained and introduced by the founder of Jet Creations.

🔹 Intellectual Property Copyrights, Patents, and Ongoing Innovation

For these reasons, we continue to invest in intellectual property protection by filing dozens of copyright and patent applications through our intellectual property attorneys each year.

We hope all community members understand our efforts. All product innovations, structural engineering designs, material developments, and mass-production techniques stem from years of accumulated professional knowledge and practical experience; we simply do not rely on AI and we do not copy others.

If anyone knows of ways AI could assist us in developing new products, please let us know.

Finally, we thank all the friends who support, advise, critique, and feedback Jet Creations; your input helps us constantly review and improve upon our shortcomings. If you have any questions regarding our product history, technical development, or design processes, please feel free to send us a direct message (DM).
